The main screen shows the list of watchers currently configured. Right clicking on one will show a context menu. Double clicking it will open the Backup Explorer.

Next to the watcher name is the status of the watcher, the number of events (create, change, delete, rename) and any warnings of the watcher. If the status is OK, then the whole row is coloured green.  If the status is Paused or Disabled, then the whole row is coloured orange. If the status is showing an error, then the whole row is coloured red.

If a watcher status is shown as "Error!", then one of the watch folders or backup is not available or some other configuration error. This generally happens due to removable drives being inserted or removed. If the drive is a network drive or something else with another error, the exclamation marks may not be removed when the drive comes back online (or shown if it goes offline). It only changes when the list is refreshed by a removable drive changing status or by opening and closing a watchers properties.

The first button on the toolbar (folder icon with + sign) is used to add a new watch/backup configuration. You may add as many separate watches as you wish.

The second button (folder icon with cog) will show the properties of an existing watch/backup configuration. Select a watch name from the list shown in the main panel then press this button for view its properties.

The third button (folder icon with red cross) will delete an existing watch/backup configuration. Select a watch folder from the list shown in the main panel then press this button to delete it.

The forth button (folder with play/resume marking) will stop and start (pause or resume) a watch. Watches that are paused will have " - paused!" written after them. Pausing only lasts until AutoVer is restarted. Pressing the down arrow next to this icon will give a Pause/Resume ALL watches option.

The fifth button (folder with disks) will Synchronise the backup is current. All files on the backup are checked to see if they are current, if not, they are updated. Pressing the down arrow next to this icon will give an Synchronise ALL Backups option.

The sixth button (drive with down arrow) will show the Restore All window. You can restore all of the files in a backup to a certain point in time.

The seventh button (folder with a magnifying glass) will launch the Backup Explorer. Select a watch name from the list shown in the main panel then press this button to view the files and backups/versions of it.

The 3rd icon to the right (cogs icon) will show the application settings. You can customise the compare and viewer applications and set where you want AutoVer loading at start up.

The other 2 buttons to the right are the Help and About buttons.

Note: If you wish to close the application, left click on the AutoVer icon in the system tray (bottom right of screen) and select Exit AutoVer.
